My name is Andrew MacLean. I am deeply passionate about music and photography, and I was inspired to begin my creative journey in 2011 after viewing Lady Gaga & Nick Knight’s Born This Way photoshoot. I first picked up a DSLR camera in 2014 and realized I wanted to become a professional photographer. I enrolled in the Digital Photography and Imaging program at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario from 2016 to 2018. Here, I was able to excel in the craft, even winning awards from Adobe and FujiFilm for my work. Initially unsure about which path of photography to pursue, I discovered my niche in both wedding and portrait photography. In 2023, I joined Music Scene Media, aiming to combine my love of music and photography to capture and write about artists' concerts. In 2024, I became a photojournalist at Sworn By Sound, further expanding my horizons in the music field. In 2025 I departed Music Scene Media and started my own publication ‘The MacZine’, which is a celebration of pop culture as a whole. To this day, I continue to pursue various photography opportunities.
